Measure Tips:
1. It’s important that measurements should be taken by reading the number from “0” on the tap measure.
2. Do not pull the tape measure too tight in case the measurements are too small. Instead, place one finger between the tape and the person being measured. It will be better to mimic the fit of the clothing.
Let’s show you the details on how to measure yourself step by step.
Chest
Measure around your chest under your arms, keep your arms relaxed at your sides;
Ensure the tape measure is LEVEL with your nipples all the way around.
Waist
Find your nature waist, which is the smallest part of your waist;
Once again, make sure the tape measure remains level.
Remember, your nature waistline may not match the waistline of the pants you are currently wearing.
Hips
Have your friend measure from the side of your body, to ensure the taps measure is level;
Wrap the tape measure around your hips at the widest point of your bum.
Shoulder Width
Identify the points at the top edge of each shoulder, measure from point to point, over the natural curve of your back
Sleeve length: Measure the length of your arm in 2 steps.
Steps 1: Start from the point at the top edge of your shoulder (the SAME POINT when you measure your shoulders width), and measure to the point of your elbow.
Step 2: Hold the tape measure there and continue towards your wrist, taking your final measurement just below your wrist bone.
Bicep circumference
Relax your arms on both sides, measure around your bicep at the same level as your nipples.
Thigh Circumference
Measure your thigh just below your crotch. Ensure the tape measure remains level all the way around.
The other Extra Key Measurements:
Neck:
Measure around your neck just above your Adam’s apple.
Shirt length:
Measure from where your neck meets your shoulder straight down your torso (the HIGHEST POINT of your shoulder at the base of your neck), until level with your first thumb joint.
Pants length:
Locate your waist by placing four fingers beneath your belly button;
Wrap the tape measure around your waist under your fourth finger;
Mark a point at one side and then measure your leg from that point to the floor.
Stomach:
Measure around your stomach in line with your belly button;
Please keep the tape measure level the entire way around.
